Girls on the Run

To fund after-school classes teaching positive body image and self-esteem, all while running and training for a 5K.

To make kids’ causes a national political priority (non-partisan).

Friends of Huntley Meadows

To provide art kits for a children’s nature journaling class.

Healthy Families Alexandria

To fund additional staff time for child development and early literacy activities during home visits with vulnerable first-time parents in the Healthy Families program.

Wright to Read

To train and support 40 volunteer tutors and mentors for 40 newly referred elementary school students who are reading significantly below grade level.

To support Boston Area families after the Boston Marathon bombings.

Alexandria Tutoring Consortium

To promote elementary school reading programs so all kids are reading at grade level by third grade.

Alexandria Police Youth Camp (APYC)

To provide overnight camp experiences for at-risk kids.

To fund programs that build character, citizenship and personal fitness.
